The newest Nortubel update is about features to make the game more accessable to people, based on some feedback I received.
You can even play as the kid character if the commands and ladder stuff still annoys you.

Nortubel is mainly about the older sibling telling the younger one where to go and the option for the other to be playable was done in case the order mechanics get a bit complicated.
If I had to explain Nortubel as simply as possible:
>Excuse to show a variety of OC's, with a "crossover" gimmick since they copy different things
>Mainly focused on these 6 characters
>Companion focus with some other things in levels
One half OC showcase, another half newbie gamedev journey where I got too ambitious for my first game but most things managed to stick out.

Started a new game and it's called Hirdrih Technologic.
Been doing some experiments with the camera and resolution.
I also added a lot of Nortubel assets but they'll soon be edited/replaced to fit the art style I want to try.
Most of them are also about specific characters and things that will show up.
Also a new character: Lulu.

Much like Lulu, their art will have a "new style" version so it's not just this Nortubel style.
Loorhuleen is like an adopted daughter of Euloria and is belived to be from a race of Yevlen that's gone extinct.
Heilga is the niece of Staphen and I could make her a boss.

Just my 2 cents. Idk if you aimed to make a puzzle game but as far as I've seen on your videos your maps have no enemies placed on the levels at all, there's mostly platforming and it's on levels that are designed to be linear and offer no challenge to the player at all.

For the visuals I recommend you try a different approach. I think it would be better with different lineart and with shading. Some characters have exactly the same nose, eyes, height, width, that's a no go.

I don't care about the underaged characters romantic shenanigans because they are just fictional characters and I'm not a faggot, but a lot of people nowadays find it problematic, so i'm just giving you a heads up about how a lof of people online may octranize you and harrass you because of that.

Lastly I noticed you also make doom mods/maps. I think that your project would be better made for the doom/gzdoom engine, since I prefer my games to be 3d instead of just 2d sidescrollers. Platforming and shooting can be more interesting in 3D FPS games than in 2D games in my opinion.

In later levels, there could be more challenging stuff and weirder enemies (I'm typing this in case you only saw early videos in that playthrough playlist).
But some people already try to get used to the gameplay, even if I wanted to make the game a bit more accessible (Hence the tutorials, 2 videos and the option to play as the kid).
There's even 2 levels where you have a second companion and unlike the main kid, you can't play as them (Though at least one doesn't need to climb nor does she lose health).

I'm still not too proud of the visuals and in the next game, I want to try a different style (There's still art using the ugly Nortubel style but the actual gameplay/levels should look different).
But at some point, I want to have other artists help me in that area.
Though with the characters having the same "templates", it's because I have lots of characters but they're different in other areas (Mainly because of the "fake crossover" aspect) and also based on specific preferences.
Even if I get better art, I'd still want to have some rules followed just because.
But since I want to make a variety based series, there's different art styles probably worth trying.

Being the ideas guy I am, I have ideas for FPS games and 3D related projects, but I'm treating my gamedev "career" as a "step by step" thing where I feel like treating certain genres or whatever as "phases".
Also, even my Doom mapping area is limited.
I finished like 5 vanilla maps and made an ambitious GZDoom map for MetaDoom, that still had Kinsie actually make it playable because I ignored a very important step about PK3 formatting.

Yes, this was made based SATV12'S Mila the f35 Lightning II concept art, some Anon posted it and I really liked the design, it's not a full project, more like a one shot fanart, it started as practice but I quickly realized this required some care put into it, I'm not sure if I am going to continue with more of their designs or go for something else, I just need to finish this first.

This is just me testing some stuff with characters, like optional designs/features or potential replacements.

Turns out I still do images like this.
The context is that these 3 girls are somewhat antagonist to the Nortubel main cast, usually.
>Alt Angela went against them in the game.
>Bonkette is planned to go against Bonka and Bonka ends up liking Katrin.
>Luisa, I plan her as a possible antagonist for if there ever is a proper Nortubel 2.
So this scenario is like a total nightmare for Katrin (And also Luisa).
